Christine Mackey is an independent studio-based artist at the Leitrim Sculpture Centre Mackey is a graduate of the National Collage of Art & Design, Dublin BA Sculpture; Dartington College of Arts/University College, Falmouth MA and the University of Ulster, Belfast Practice-based PhD (2012). She has participated on a range of international and national residency/exhibition programmes including: Delfina Foundation, London; Agora Collective, Berlin; Utopiana Genève, Switzerland (2015); AIR Rejmyre Art Lab, Sweden (2014), Killruddery House and Gardens/Mermaid Arts Centre, Wicklow (2014); Art & Sustainability, Cambridge School of Art (2013) and ArtLink, Fort, Donegal (2013-2014)). Recent solo exhibitions include The Lung, Kings House, Boyle; Provisional AC Institute, New York; SEED MATTER, Limerick City Gallery of Art (2013); Labor on … as if Draoicht Arts Centre (2013); Living Fields Leitrim Sculpture Centre (2012) and Seed Matter and Other Stories The Butler Gallery (2011). Mackey has been in receipt of Individual Artists Bursary Awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, Leitrim County Council and Culture Ireland (2015/14/09/).
